Fried Chicken Drumsticks
1.Place the chicken pieces in a bowl.
2.In small bowl mix the salt, pepper, paprika, turmeric, garlic, onion, oregano and basil. Sprinkle half of the mixture on the chicken. Add the buttermilk. Soak the chicken for one hour or all night long.
3.In another bowl mix the flour with the rest of the spices.
4.In a deep-frying pan heat about 2 inches of corn oil over medium-high heat.
5.Drain the chicken pieces from the buttermilk marinade and dip in the flour to coat thoroughly.
6.Fry the chicken, in patches, until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
7.Transfer the Chicken Drumsticks on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil and then serve with French fries and hummus.
